RE: COVID-19 UPDATES

Counties surrounding Roper Pump Company have experienced a significant increase in positive COVID-19 cases. The Jackson County COVID-19 Community level has now risen to “high,” indicating that the CDC is recommending masks to be worn indoors in public.
We now advise anyone that is in close proximity (within 6ft) of others to wear a mask. The company will continue to provide masks, as we have in the past. Please see HR if you need one.
If you have been exposed to a positive COVID-19 case, please refer to the CDC website or contact Human Resources for guidance. If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or are experiencing even minor symptoms of COVID-19, do not come into work, and contact HR.
We will continue to monitor COVID-19 cases in our local communities and adjust the guidance as needed.

TO: All Roper Pump, Hansen Technologies, and FTI Employees
Early this morning, our parent company, Roper Technologies, announced that it had reached an agreement to sell a majority stake in its industrial businesses to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (“CD&R”). Bomba Roper, Hansen Technologies y FTI are three of the sixteen businesses included in this transaction. Also included are Alpha, AMOT, CCC, Cornell, Dynisco, Hardy, Logitech, Metrix, PAC, Struers, Technolog, Uson, and Viatran.
Roper Technologies will retain a 49% minority interest in the resulting new standalone entity, and Roper executives will serve on the new entity’s Board of Directors. We expect this transaction to close by the end of 2022.
We are excited to partner with CD&R given their remarkable track record of successful corporate partnerships. Operating as a standalone entity will enable our businesses to build on our niche-leading strategies and continue creating value for our customers and shareholders.
For each business, there is no change to your objectives. Continue being a great business, serving customers, and executing against your strategy. Each company will follow up this communication with employee meetings later today.
This is a very exciting time for our businesses. It is an opportunity to benefit from having new owners with investment capacity more compatible with industrial companies.
The press release for this morning’s announcement will be on the Roper website at www.ropertech.com.

COVID-19 Updates
To: All Roper Pump Company Employees
On Wednesday January 13th, The Supreme Court of The United States blocked the COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) for Vaccination and Testing. The ETS was requiring employers with greater than 100 employees to establish, implement, and enforce a written mandatory vaccination/testing policy (29 CFR 1910.501(d)(1)).
What does this mean for us?
Roper Pump Company will not implement a testing/vaccination policy at this time.
We will not implement weekly testing at this time.
As cases are rising, we will continue to track vaccination status and follow protocol for any employee who has been exposed to a positive COVID-19 case or has started exhibiting symptoms that could be related to COVID-19. Employees are still required to contact their supervisor and HR if they have been exposed to a positive COVID-19 case or if they are sick with symptoms that could be related to a COVID-19 infection.

COVID Update
To: All Roper Pump Company Employees
The federal government in concert with OSHA implemented the COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) for Vaccination and Testing on Nov 5, 2021.
The ETS requires employers with greater than 100 employees to establish, implement, and enforce a written mandatory vaccination/testing policy (29 CFR 1910.501(d)(1)). The policy has been on hold as various states and businesses filed suit.
On Friday, December 17, the federal courts removed the hold on the mandate and will now begin to enforce it with employers like Roper Pump.
The mandate requires employees to be fully vaccinated or to undergo weekly COVID testing as well as tracking of vaccination status. If you are not vaccinated, you may be required to get tested on a weekly basis, and Roper Pump will be required to validate that testing by OSHA rules. The cost of the test may, or may not be covered, which could leave the cost of the weekly testing solely on the employee. We understand that every employee has personal opinions about vaccinations. Unfortunately, the mandate has left the Company with no choice but to comply with the requirements and we wanted to make everyone aware of rules we are potentially facing.
The Company’s ETS policy is currently under development, and if this mandate is not blocked again in the courts, we will communicate the new policy to all employees as soon as possible.
We will provide further updates on the status of the ETS policy and our plans to implement it by mid-January.
Sincerely,
Diane F. Edwards

RE: Operating Schedule for Commerce Facility January- February 2021
To: All Roper Pump Company Employees (GA & TX)
Due to an increase in current and past due sales orders, the Commerce, GA SPDP plant will change their production schedule for January and February of 2021. This schedule change will be effective January 4, 2021. We will evaluate the current needs and determine if we return to the original schedule or keep to the amended schedule, prior to the end of February. Some areas may be asked to work Saturday’s, given the business need.
The new SPDP schedule will be:
1ST Shift Monday-Friday 5am-3:30 pm
2nd Shift Monday-Friday 3pm-1:30 am
There are no changes to production schedules for either SSEP facilities in TX or GA. Office employees will be asked to continue to work from home until further notice. We will continue to evaluate the situation at the end of each month. There are certain situations where office personnel will be asked to come into the office based on specific work required. We have scheduled for all high traffic areas such as restrooms and the break rooms, to have an additional sanitizing and deep cleaning every Sunday. As a reminder, below are actions each of us can take to keep our workforce safe. It is even more critical than ever that all employees remain prudent in following these steps:
1. MASKS: Masks are to be worn by all employees and visitors while in conference rooms, training rooms, shared office spaces, shared plant areas and when
approached in your work area and social distancing is not possible.

December 23, 2020
Dear Roper Pump Team,
For me, the holidays are a time when I am able to slow down a bit, reflect on the past year and take the time to appreciate what I am most grateful for. Among those are all of you, our talented and highly dedicated employees. It goes without saying that 2020 has been a struggle for our world, our country and our Company. But, as we have done many times in our more than 160-year history, we did the hard work, and came out stronger on the other side. This would not have happened without the commitment and dedication demonstrated by literally, every function in our Company. And so, I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for some pretty big accomplishments that I know, did not come without significant effort.
To our Operations team including Manufacturing, Shipping, Quality, Receiving, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance and the Toolroom – Thank you for your flexibility in learning a totally new way of operating under the Management Operating System (MOS), being willing to learn new machines and embrace new processes for production planning. During the 2nd quarter, our total sales were down more than 57% vs prior year. You all dealt with furloughs, split shifts and the stress of having to witness headcount reductions. When the market picked up faster than we expected, many of you put in very long days away from your families to ensure our customers received their orders as quickly as possible. The productivity improvements you made not only saved jobs, but allowed our company to deliver profitable results in an impossible market.
To our Sourcing & Production Planning team – Thank you for also embracing a new way of operating under the MOS, for developing the new production planning process, and working with the rest of the Operations team to implement it. We have more work to do here, but you made it better than it was before. Many of you also took on new responsibilities in 2020 while responding to extreme volatility in our supply chain which required pulling every lever available to get our raw materials delivered from international vendors.
To our Engineering & Test Lab teams– At the beginning of the 2020, you were focused on developing new products for our Subsurface business. By April, you had to switch gears and start to transfer knowledge and build capabilities in Surface Pump engineering, while finding creative ways to be productive while we put our new product development plans on hold. You worked with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering to put your engineering talents to work helping improve our manufacturing processes, and even spent time picking parts when Operations was needing all hands on deck. Thank you for being so flexible and willing to do whatever it took to help our Company where we needed it. We appreciate you all so much.
To our Inside Sales, Outside Sales and Customer Service teams – Our outside sales team found creative, new ways to connect with customers and distributors who had closed their doors to wait out the pandemic. When orders picked up before we were ready, and then COVID-19 precautions made the situation worse, all of you went into high gear working with Operations to balance what was possible with the most urgent needs of our customers. Disappointing customers is not something we ever want to do, and you are the ones having the difficult conversations. We have learned a few things from this year, and we will put measures in place to help us respond better to future market volatility. Thank you for your dedication to our customers and for being part of the solution.
To our Human Resources team – Thank you for quickly and accurately sorting through all of the details of the CARES Act (government stimulus package) and helping our employees manage the complexities of how to get paid during quarantines and furloughs. Also, thank you for finding new ways to bring a few bright spots to this otherwise dismal year like the new format for our All Employee Meetings, QBR/Strategy Forum Meetings, and Holiday Celebration. Because of your efforts, our employees were able to find a few moments of connection with each other that certainly brought smiles to our faces.
To our Information Technology team – Thank you for your exceptionally quick action setting our Company up so that employees who had never worked from home on a regular basis, could do so effectively. Also, thank you for establishing new ways like Zoom for us to connect “in person” while social distancing, and keeping business going. You did all of this while navigating an increasingly dangerous cybersecurity environment with so many of us relying on digital connections. Great job!
To our Finance team – Many folks may not realize what happens to a Finance team when you’re part of a publicly traded company and your markets have just collapsed. Since March, there have been numerous urgent requests asked of the Finance team not only to calculate the financial impact on our Company, but also to help our corporation better manage the expectations of our shareholders. The Finance team not only delivered on all of these requests in addition to their regular roles, but they did so while the VP Finance position was open for half the year. They also had to get creative paying our vendors while working remotely, and helping customers get their product despite their financial difficulty. Thank you all for the nonstop financial analyses, and literally, for keeping the lights on.
For me, this has been the most challenging year in my entire career. Not only taking on a new role as your President, but having to manage through one of most difficult years in our Company’s recent history. Every decision the Senior Staff and I had to make this year, was done so while balancing the safety and continued employment of our people with the needs of our customers. Getting through a year like 2020 takes significantly more effort from everyone than a year of growth would. I want you all to know how much I appreciate you bringing your best to work every day, and demonstrating your commitment to our customers and your fellow employees.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones. Bring on 2021!
Sincerely,
Diane F. Edwards

RE: COVID-19 UPDATES
To: All Roper Pump Company Employees (GA & TX)
This has been a difficult year for many reasons and we have had to adapt our business as market conditions and health concerns have occurred. At this time, we are currently experiencing additional business disruption caused by supply chain issues, and workforce continuity caused in part by COVID-19 quarantines as well as previously scheduled employee vacations.
Due to these issues we will limit the number of employees in the Gear plant to a small crew for December 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.
There are no changes to production schedules for the SSEP GA or SSEP TX plants. Office employees are to remain working from home through December, 31st, 2020. We will communicate plans for office employees in January at a later date.
Additional cleaning and sanitizing of all areas has been scheduled to be conducted during this time as well. The employees that are not scheduled to work next week will need to either use vacation or choose no points, no pay. For those employees who do not have enough vacation time remaining for the 2020 year, we are allowing up to 20 hours of vacation to be borrowed from 2021 vacation balances. This will be a onetime allowance and not a practice moving forward.
Employees will need to contact HR no later than noon Monday, December 21, 2020 if they do not wish to use vacation for December 21, 22, and 23. If no contact with HR is made by this date, vacation time will be used.
Maintaining a safe environment and business continuity will take everyone working together. We have recently been notified that employees are coming to work while not feeling well. If you do not feel well, DO NOT COME TO WORK. Please contact HR and your supervisor.
As a reminder, below are actions each of us can take to keep our workforce safe. It is even more critical than ever that all employees remain prudent in following these steps.

RE: COVID-19 UPDATES
To: All Roper Pump Company Employees (GA & TX)
Yesterday afternoon, we were notified that one of our office employees at our Commerce facility had tested positive for COVID-19.
After contact tracing, we have identified 10 Roper Pump Company- GA employees who have been in proximity to this employee. All of the employees were wearing masks at the time, which reduces the likelihood of transmission, but does not eliminate it. As a result:
All areas where the employee worked were roped off last night to prevent any additional employees from being exposed.
All areas were sanitized and cleaned by this morning.
All exposed employees have been told to quarantine at home until they either have a negative COVID test or are cleared to return to work by a doctor.
We will facilitate mandatory COVID- 19 testing for the exposed employees. HR (Katye Semanson/Dana Kinney) will facilitate scheduling to have the tests conducted after a four day waiting period (per medical guidelines) to ensure effective testing.
Additionally, with positive cases rising in our area, it is prudent we take immediate steps to limit additional exposure. Effective immediately, all office employees should return to working from home through December 31st, 2020. We will review positive case trends at that time to determine when/if we will return employees to the office in January 2021.
There is no change to the operations work schedule at this time.

To: All Roper Pump Company Employees
Today we made the difficult decision to implement a reduction in force for our SPDP Georgia facility.
The collapse of the oil & gas market in late March combined with COVID-19 caused a significant level of business interruption and a 60% drop in sales. After months of extended furloughs to save as many jobs as possible, we made the necessary adjustments today for SPDP. Although our oil & gas business is still significantly down versus prior year, we are starting to see a slow recovery in our industrial markets.
We are committed to be completely transparent and honest with each of you, and we do anticipate that the reduction in force action taken today will now match the manufacturing headcount with the current level of business activity. However, moving forward, if weekly workload changes do occur we may still need to use weekly furloughs, but we expect the number of furloughed workers to be greatly reduced.
We are not currently making any changes to how we manage the workforce in our two SSEP plants.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Our contact information is below.
Thanks for your understanding as we navigate these difficult times.

Roper Pump Employees,
I wanted to share several organizational announcements with each of you.
Tate Coghlan, Vice President, Sales & Marketing will be transitioning out of his role between now and the end of the year. Under Tate’s leadership, our Commercial team has grown our business from a small pump company to a market leader in fluid dynamics engineering across three distinct lines of business. At the height of the oil and gas market, our business as much as tripled its revenue during Tate’s tenure as our Sales leader. He is a patent holder for many of our patents, and his extensive product knowledge and close relationships with our distributors and customers are second to none. Although Tate is moving out of the Sales leadership role, he will remain with us indefinitely while he transitions his many years of knowledge.
An important note, because of Tate’s relationships with our customers and distributors, this announcement is not to be shared outside of Roper Pump. We will begin our internal and external search for Tate’s replacement in the coming months, and will make this announcement externally at a later date.
Below is a personal letter from Tate to all Roper employees.
“I’ve had the absolute privilege of leading the Sales & Marketing group at Roper Pump Company for the past 15+ years. Since joining Roper Pump Company in 1990 I’ve had the chance to work with some wonderful people I’ve known since middle school and built relationships with others that will last the rest my life. Over the years we’ve done some pretty amazing things moving the company forward and I believe the best is still yet to come.
After careful consideration I’ve reached the conclusion that it’s now time for new Sales & Marketing leadership at Roper Pump Company. I reached this decision on my own (with my wife of course) and informed Diane a few weeks back. The reason is two-fold. First, changes in the world this year have made me realize just how much time I’ve missed being home for a really long time. We don’t have kids but I’ve got some interests outside of work and really want some time to pursue these. The VP of Sales role is more or less 24/7/365 so while not ready to retire just yet I definitely need to find a better balance.
The second and equally important reason is my realization that Roper Pump could benefit from different Sales leadership. As a company we are necessarily moving in a more formal direction and some of the traits required to successfully guide this progression aren’t my strengths. We’re navigating some of the most challenging times in recent memory and some new – more structured – perspective is really needed. I am (and will be) fully committed to the long term success of Roper Pump Company so will always be available to assist in the areas that I am really good at.
I’ve requested to start transitioning my managerial responsibility elsewhere ASAP and we’ll work on completing this by year end. Regardless of timing it had always been my plan to do this in a
structured way. During this transition I’ll also be working on several projects critical to our long term success; after that it’s my desire to stay involved with Roper Pump Company one way or another going forward.
I truly thank everyone for everything and as always feel to reach out to me any time.”
Tate Coghlan
With this change in Tate’s responsibilities, I would like to announce additional organizational changes which are effective immediately:
Andy Downing, Director of Subsurface Sales, will take over as Director of Sales for both Surface and Subsurface reporting directly to me. Andy joined Roper Pump in 2019 from Halliburton Energy Services where he spent over 20 years in various roles of progressing responsibility, most recently as North America Regional Operations Manager for Sperry Drilling (a division of Halliburton) in Denver Colorado. During his time there, Andy led an organization of over 2,500 employees and was responsible for all of North America Operations for Halliburton. Reporting directly to Andy in this new role will be: Patrick Green, Wes Smith, Scott Banks, and Shay Smith.
Roper Pump Engineering will now report under Tyson Anderson, Vice President, Operations in addition to his current responsibilities. Tyson joined Roper in April, 2000 as an Applications Engineer and progressed rapidly into roles of increasing responsibility most notably as Technical Sales Lead for our Subsurface business. Tyson was promoted in November 2019 to Vice President, Operations and currently has responsibility for all three manufacturing plants and Strategic Sourcing. Reporting directly to Tyson will be Cody Reynolds, Director of Technical Sales and his team including Trevor Brasselle and William West. To further consolidate our engineering talent, Vicki Wilder and Shane McCullough will also report to Cody. Together, this team will be responsible for both sustaining and new product development engineering for our Company.
George Mathis, Andy Ingram, William Ward, Blair Guidroz, and Chris Love will continue in their current roles in Operations reporting to Tyson. Bill Flavelle and Allen Yue will continue in their current roles reporting to Tate.

To: All Roper Pump Company Employees
We were recently informed by one of our Commerce office personnel that they have tested positive for COVID-19. This employee contracted it from their spouse, who previously tested positive. Neither the employee nor their spouse are hospitalized, and both are recovering at home.
The employee has not been at the facility for over three weeks at the time they tested positive. This is the 2nd confirmed COVID-19 case at Roper Pump and the first in the Commerce facility.
We would like to remind everyone to please contact Human Resources for any of the following situations:
They have been exposed to someone either within their household or outside who has COVID-19 symptoms and/or is being tested for COVID-19 due to their symptoms
They have COVID-19 symptoms themselves whether or not they have been tested
They have tested positive for COVID-19 whether or not they have symptoms
By contacting Human Resources, we are able to assist in the following ways:
Next steps after positive results or exposure (work from home, request for leave, etc.)
Eligibility under the CARES Act
Returning to work (required documentation, test results, etc.)
We will continue to communicate positive cases within our company, the last time the individual was in the facilities, and other information as relevant to all of us. We will not communicate names of employees to maintain confidentiality.
Our efforts to keep our employees safe will continue to limit exposure in the facility. All employees have been given cleaning and sanitizing materials as well as masks to wear when outside their work areas and when attending meetings. Employees are asked to contact HR if they need additional cleaning materials or masks.
Sincerely,
Diane F. Edwards

To: All Roper Pump Employees
COVID-19 has brought many changes to our daily lives. Although all office employees are expected to return to the office effective July 1, we would like to take measures to avoid 100% of the employees from being in the offices at the same time. As such, managers will allow office employees to work from home periodically, if the work allows it. Please work with your manager on a schedule that works best for your department and provides support for our business.
As always, the safety and well-being of our employees is the #1 priority. We have completed the review of the “Resuming Business Toolkit” distributed by the CDC. We are identifying areas for improvement as well as areas to strengthen the actions we have already taken.
To keep everyone updated on COVID-19 issues here at Roper Pump, we have had one confirmed case in our Houston facility. The employee has now fully recovered. Because the individual practiced social distancing and took care to follow CDC guidelines while at work, the virus was not transmitted to other employees. There have been zero confirmed cases in our Commerce, GA location. The case in Houston serves as a reminder that the continued focus on social distancing and cleaning our areas is critical to limiting the exposure of COVID-19 at our company. As such, please see below our guidelines of returning to the office, as well as actions we will continue to take to support the health and safety of our employees.
We will continue cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms and common areas – conducted multiple times during the work day
We have provided hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes at all work areas. Refill bottles can be found the following areas: main employee breakroom (Commerce & Houston), Roper Pump front office by the mailboxes, and in the Hansen office near the copier. Notify HR or your supervisor if you need disinfecting wipes for your work area.
Employees are expected to follow handwashing guidelines recommended by the CDC.
No gathering in common areas such as breakrooms, kitchens, etc.
For in-person meetings, all conference rooms will have masks for use when meetings are being conducted (see below for more guidelines on use of masks in the facility)
We continue to encourage Zoom meetings in lieu of in-person meetings where appropriate and effective.
Employees should not share individual office items such as phones, pens, staplers, etc.
Before and after use of copiers, please wipe the touch pad with a Clorox wipe (provided at all copiers)
We will be installing an air disinfecting system that will reduce the amount of virus, bacteria, and mold in the air and on surfaces in the training room and main employee breakroom in Commerce. We will continue to assess areas for placement of additional units..
Masks: As a reminder the CDC recommends masks be worn when you cannot maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet and while participating in meetings in enclosed spaces to reduce exposure to virus-containing respiratory droplets, which can remain airborne in a room without outside air circulation for several hours.
When you are working in your work area, a mask is not required. If you leave your work area or someone is in your work area and the 6 feet distancing cannot be followed, please wear a mask.
All training classes and meetings not attended by zoom, participants will be asked to wear a mask while in the room. We have installed mask dispensers in every conference room for this purpose.
Your manager or HR can also provide you with a new mask as needed.
Before you come to work each day, ensure that you are healthy:
Please notify your supervisor and stay home for the following reasons:
You are sick
You are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath)
You have been around someone with COVID-19 symptoms
You have reason to believe you may have COVID-19
In the next two weeks, we will be updating our COVID policy, which we communicated in the spring of this year.
Please know that we are available to answer any questions that you might have. If you have concerns about returning, please reach out to HR or our Employee Assistance Program at workhealthlife.com. Although we recognize that these extra safety procedures are not always comfortable, please remember they are temporary. This is what we must do for now to keep our employees safe, and we look forward to a time with this pandemic is a thing of the past.
We look forward to seeing everyone again.
